Andr 3000 Drops Hand-Drawn Clothing Capsule After Being Forced To File Trademark
Outkast legend André 3000 was about to lose a trademark on a sketch he’d done a while ago if he didn’t do anything with it – so now fans have some merch to cop.
Taking to his rarely-used Instagram page on Tuesday (February 23), 3 Stacks shared the hand-drawn image of an ant reading a book and explained the situation that led to his new capsule collection.
“This is a sketch I did a while ago and I am told I have to use it now in the market place or it stops being mine,” he explained. “So I’ve made a few things with it. All the shirts are ethically-produced/made from recycled materials. Hope you enjoy. – 3.”
On his website, he went into a little more detail in a hand-written note.
