Luis Gnecco is a Chilean actor, born on December 12, 1962, in Santiago, Chile. Although acting was not originally in his plans, Luis always stood out for his ability to improvise and imitate classmates, family and teachers, and, in fact, one of them motivated him to seek a career as an actor and abandon his biology degree. He left the university and entered the Fernando González Theater School and, shortly after, he was already working on television, in series such as Trampas y caretas (1992), Checkmate (1993), Rompecorazón (1994), in addition to the humorous programs El desjueves and Na’ to do with Chile . In recent years, his career has had a renaissance, which has allowed him to demonstrate his versatility and has earned him the affection of the public and critics, who awarded him best actor at the History Habana Film Festival, in 2016, for his role in the film El Bosque de Karadima , directed by Marías Lara.
