Walk The Moon Release New Music Video for "Work This Body"

Walk The Moon, the alternative rock band behind the smash hit “Shut Up and Dance” last year just released their new music video for “Work This Body,” their latest song off their album “Talking Is Hard,” released in 2014.

The music video, directed by Isaac Rentz, follows a grade-school boy at school getting bullied by the other students in French class. Later at a talent show for his school, the boy comes up on stage with a lunchbox that just so happens to have Walk The Moon on it, and starts a massive food fight where everyone joins in. Interspersed throughout the video are shots of Walk The Moon dressed up as flamboyant superheroes, reminiscent of the flashy 80s pop stars of the past like Freddie Mercury or David Bowie. The entire video is an epic explosion of positivity and color, and will leave you feeling happy and uplifted.

The song itself is all about working hard and never giving up. Eventually, you will reach your goals. In an interview with EW, Nick Petricca, lead vocalist and keyboardist, says that “Work This Body is a song about getting my ass in shape and standing up to my fears. The video portrays a school kid much braver than I was who starts a revolution with a lunchbox. It’s a little nudge to the skeptic that there really are superheroes among us.”
